We value our temporary assignments as much as any permanent role and endeavour to provide full support and assistance wherever possible. If you are representing Hayden Marsh then thank you for all your efforts and can we ask that you please be honest and transparent when working for our clients.
We consider a temporary role very much affects our reputation and invariably leads to a permanent placement for the temp. Therefore, below is guide on how we assist in your assignments and how we would ask you to operate in a way that reflects well on both yourselves and Hayden Marsh.
Punctuality
- Timekeeping is an essential component in providing a good service for an employer.
- Please be punctual and, if for any reason you are running late, please call us so that we can inform our client in good time.
- We would ask that you call us by 8.15am if you are going to be late on any given day, regardless of whether you call the client directly. This way, we can help manage the situation if you genuinely need time off for a given reason and this needs to be explained to our client.
- Please apologise to the client upon arrival if you are late out of courtesy.
Dress code
Dress in a business like manner that is appropriate and acceptable to the client unless told otherwise.
Agreed Hours of the Assignment
Work the hours agreed with the client; if you are asked to work extra or less hours, please let us know.
Client Practices
Familiarise yourself with company rules such as breaks and get agreement from your immediate Line Manager on what is expected of you, and what you can expect, at the very beginning of the assignment.
Please do not use the internet at work unless you are given permission to do so.
Telephone Calls
- Ask permission if you need to make an urgent telephone call. This is courteous and will endear you to the client.
- Being honest about the manner in which you work and use their facilities is always the best policy.
- If you carry a mobile, please switch it off whilst at work and please use only during authorised breaks.
Issues
If you have an issue with an assignment, please tell us on 01865 77 77 33. We will do our very best to resolve the situation. We are here to help you.
Timesheets
In order that we can pay you for your work in a timely fashion, please adhere to these guidelines with regard to timesheets:
- Fill out the hours you have worked at the end of each day.
- At the end of the week, or the last day of your assignment, hand your timesheet to the person you are reporting to for signature.
- Take a photocopy for yourself and your Line Manager if required.
- Fax the signed timesheet to us on 01865 749199.
- If you lose a timesheet, or do not receive one, just call us on 01865 77 77 33 and we will fax, email or post a replacement.
Please fax your signed (by you and the client) timesheets at the end of each week of an assignment. The deadline for your signed timesheet is 4pm every Monday (12pm Tuesdays if a Bank Holiday Monday applies). We will then authorise payment, electronically, within 3 working days and issue you with a payslip by email.
Holiday Pay
- Every temporary worker is entitled to up to 24 paid holiday days per year.
- Holiday entitlement is calculated on a pro rata basis and depends on each assignment.
Email/Internet Etiquette
- As a representative of Hayden Marsh, you may find yourself on assignment with email and/or internet access.
- Whilst the nature of your assignment may mean the client will ask you to send/receive business email or use the internet, we would like to remind you that accessing a company’s email or internet facilities for your own personal use is strictly prohibited.
- Please also ask friends & family not to contact you by email.
- Remember, companies monitor internet and email usage and your messages can be read so please be mindful of the content of your correspondence.
